Summary
James Finlay have been growing tea for 120 years. From this base the group has progressed into other tea related activities including tea trading and marketing, the manufacturing of special teas such as instant tea, decaffeinated tea and green teas, and finally tea packaging. Finlays own plantations of significant size in Kenya and Bangladesh, and are shareholders in large projects in Uganda and Sri Lanka. The plantation companies are managed on behalf of the owners in Sri Lanka. Finlays' in house research and development has enabled the company to produce a very wide range of special products for a large number of customers throughout the world. Finlays are able to buy teas from all over the world, either from its own offices or from its agents, selling on to numerous customers in many different countries
