
Candover Investments plc is an investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1984. It is an international private equity house, with its roots in european buyouts.
As well as investing money on behalf of Candover Investments plc, Candover raises substantial funds for buyout investment from third parties such as pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, charities and other professional investors.
Across 28 years, Candover has raised nine funds with total capital commitments of more than €8.7 billion. It is currently raising its tenth european buyout fund, the Candover 2008 Fund. We have completed 137 deals and achieved consistently high returns for investors.
Almost 85% of companies we have backed have achieved successful exits via stock market listings or trade sales. Candover's realised deals to date have generated a gross IRR of 37%.

Candover Investments' primary objective is to achieve above average growth in its net assets through capital gains from its investments and to earn satisfactory income for its shareholders.
Net assets grew by 11.0% in the year to 30th June, 2008 and have grown at a compound rate of 12.7% over the last 10 years. Dividends have grown on average by 10% per year over the last 10 years.

Candover's board of directors is chaired by Gerry Grimstone who was appointed non-executive chairman in May 2006. The board comprises of six other members, all of whom are non-executive directors.
Candover Partners employs 52 investment executives who are based in London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Hong Kong, and Mumbai.
