- Why should I subscribe to Hemscott?

Registering with Hemscott gives you access to those pages of our website that can only be viewed by registered users. This includes in-depth financial data, foreign exchange and currencies information, international market prices, news alerting services, plus much more. Registration is FREE.

Hemscott is a FREE service. All you need to do is register to have immediate access to our data.
Further advanced functionality and in-depth data is available via our subscription services Hemscott Premium, and Premium+.
- Why should I subscribe to Hemscott Premium or Premium+ if I can get the same information free elsewhere?

Hemscott Premium and Premium+ provide access to more in-depth company data sourced from Hemscott's database. This database is used to provide data to all our corporate clients who typically include Accountants, Investment Banks and data vendors. The services contain much more information than is contained in Hemscott's free site.
- Do you provide information on non-UK companies?

Hemscott currently provides financial information and data on UK registered companies traded on the London Stock Exchange or Irish Stock Exchange only.
The data is superior in quality due to our unique attention to every detail of our speciality in UK listed companies.
- How often is your information updated?

Our information is constantly updated. We utilise news feeds and source materials such as Annual Reports on a daily basis to update our fundamental data.
- Where do you get your information?

Hemscott collates its own data via its in-house teams of analysts located in London, USA and India. Hemscott use annual reports, news feeds and liaises with companies and directors directly to ensure the data held is as timely and accurate as possible. Hemscott has its own proprietary database that houses all of its financial and key people data.
- If I need information only on one company can I buy it from you?

Yes, you may buy specific reports on any company in our Company Insight service. Search for the company you require and then select Reports from the left hand navigation.
- I cannot find the company that I am looking for

Hemscott shows all United Kingdom registered listed companies trading with ordinary share capital, and all United States registered companies listed on the S&P 500. UK companies registered abroad but listed on the London Stock Exchange are not currently covered in full detail.
- I would like information on a company that is no longer listed; can I find this on Hemscott?

No, once a company is removed from the stock exchange the records are no longer updated as very little information remains in the public domain.
- When does Hemscott stop showing a particular company?

Hemscott removes companies once the stock exchange removes them. Also, if a company is involved in a take over, once the percentage of acceptances received reaches 85% the records are removed.
- How can I find out the share price of a company on a certain date?

You can view historic share prices on our company share price charts.
For access to several years of historic share prices you may upgrade to our Hemscott Premium service and download all historic share prices to a spreadsheet.
- Why does a company's earnings per share (EPS) on your website differ from those on their annual report or other financial data providers?

Hemscott has its own team of trained analysts who analyse each set of accounts received. We do not replicate the figures shown in the annual report, we perform our own analysis. Therefore, it is quite common for the figures shown to differ.

In addition, Hemscott also works with media partners to provide you selected promotions.
