The running order across the whole market is hardly changed from last time although the top five are down in overall numbers. KPMG heads the client numbers table and is still comfortably clear of PricewaterhouseCoopers, although the positions are reversed for market caps and profits rankings.
Deloitte also has more than 300 clients in total and is followed by Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young. BDO Stoy Hayward in sixth place does best overall with four gains and is now the only other auditor with more than 100 clients, as Baker Tilly has slipped just below the magic mark.
Single gains are recorded by Mazars and Chantrey Vellacott.
