As leader of most of the client numbers tables – the exception being the FTSE 100 where it comes third – FTI is, not surprisingly, way out in front again with more than twice as many clients as its nearest rival. To rub in its supremacy, FTI has added two clients to extend its lead marginally.

Pelham now has the silver medal to itself after adding one client to pull away from Buchanan, which must now settle for bronze ahead of Tavistock. Threadneedle and Citigate are also one client to the good in the first half of the table.

The best performance overall, though, is at RLM Finsbury, where three additional clients secure a move up to the top ten and cement leadership of the rankings based on aggregate market caps and profits of clients. This is Finsbury’s fourth consecutive plus score.

Also on the rise are Redleaf Polhill and Walbrook, the former building on the merger that we noted in our last survey and the latter adding to the six gains claimed in August.
