The top three in this category have all lost ground. First placed Capita, buoyed by its monopoly of smaller companies, drops by 24 clients but is still miles ahead of the competition with 1379 clients. Computershare loses 8 and finishes in second with 664. Since last August, Equiniti has posted a loss in clients in this category, dropping a further 14 clients this time around.
Since our first issue in November 2005, Share Registrars, which debuted with 71 clients, has posted a gain every quarter. Landing in fourth position, Share Registrars now has a total of 121 clients. Ninth-placed IFG Fund Administration with eight has done well this quarter with larger companies.
With its battalion of larger companies, Equiniti once again tops the market capitalisation rankings. Computershare takes second and Capita follows with its troop of smaller companies in third place.
The profits table remains unchanged with Equiniti, Computershare, and Capita taking the top three positions respectively.
